How occupational therapy helps your child
Occupational therapy looks at the practical skills a child uses every day — holding a pencil, managing buttons and zips, sitting still long enough to learn, coping with noise in a classroom, or moving safely around a room. When these skills are difficult, school and home life become stressful for the whole family. OT breaks each skill into achievable steps and builds it through structured, play-based activity.
What we work on
Our occupational therapy sessions target fine motor skills and hand strength, gross motor coordination and balance, sensory processing, attention and task completion, hand-eye coordination, and self-care routines such as dressing, eating and toileting. Each plan is built from an assessment of your child, not from a fixed programme.
Who benefits from occupational therapy
We support children with Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and sensory processing difficulties. Children who are clumsy, avoid certain textures or sounds, struggle with handwriting, or find everyday routines overwhelming often make clear progress with OT.

Because our therapists and special educators work in the same centre, the goals set in therapy carry directly into the classroom. Parents are guided on simple activities to continue at home, so progress does not stop when the session ends.
